ARCHITIZER VISION AWARDS, Honoring the World´s Best Architectural Concepts, Idea and Imagery

This 72-square-meter apartment is located in the iconic Edifício 360º, designed by Oscar Niemeyer. Architect José Marinho reinterprets the modernist legacy with a fluid, sensorial, and contemporary language. The curved geometry, a hallmark of Niemeyer's design, organizes the spatial layout and guides the eye. The project emphasizes transparency and the fluid integration of living, dining, and kitchen areas, highlighting Brazilian furniture that resonates with the building's history and cultural identity. At the heart of the space, the structural column—an emblematic feature in Niemeyer's architecture—becomes a sculptural focal point. It is wrapped in wallpaper inspired by Ana Durães's artwork "Flowers at the Edge of Time," evoking nature, memory, and emotion. The project celebrates human experience—where architecture, art, and landscape merge organically and poetically.
